We have not received any reliable sighting report (Muhaqaq-Ruyat-Basari) from east of the UK/Morocco either. Both the Jamiat-e-Ulama South Africa and Morocco Awqaf Ministry have reported negative sightings.

Note: We congratulate the Saudi Supreme Court for deciding the start of Ramadan a day after their official Ummul Qura date, which clearly does not match the visibility of the moon, as stated on the Ummul Qura calendar website (English).

The imaging system could track the crescent for 70 minutes till just before sunset, when the crescent vanished behind some trees. I tried several times to see it visually with a pair of 12x50 binoculars and the visual part of the imaging system, but the weather was just to bad.
